I started this piece by painting the woman in the background. My goal was not to get every color exactly matched. I allowed blues and purples to represent darks and oranges and yellows to represent lights. Each aspect of the woman had peachy or red tones to it.
I painted the rest of the image green, and allowed it to dry.
Then, the fun began. I painted abstract, flowery designs over the whole image with liquid frisket, and after it had tried, moved the painting to my bathtub, where I sprayed, poured, and brushed the woman in the background into hiding.
It was so cool to watch as the different stages of the painting went by, as she slowly went away.
After the painting dried, I carefully pealed the frisket away.
