Figure Amalgamation Project


This was another interesting project. It started off with a series of live figure studies that I was then tasked to putting together into a cohesive piece. I had a lot of sketches to choose from.


The reason you don’t see the images from the final piece in this grouping, with the exception of the blind contours which I did as a rest from more tight drawing, is that I literally adhered them to the final piece. They no longer exist apart from it.


I created a background to lay behind it, to help pull the separate elements together into one product. To this end, I also made intentional choices about color, value, and placement.
